WHAT IS APEC?
nAsia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) was established in Canberra in 1989 and is currently the leading forum for facilitating economic growth, cooperation, trade and investment in the Asia-Pacific region.
nAPEC operates on the basis of non-binding commitments and open dialogue. Decisions are made through consensus and commitments are voluntary.
