How do I make an appointment and/or request visa information?

We strongly recommend that you schedule your appointment several weeks in advance of any planned travel to allow for any possible delays.  Fingerprinting and a personal interview are required for all applicants, with very few exceptions.  For visa information and/or to schedule an appointment, you must obtain a PIN for the equivalent of US $12.00.  You can call 705-3007 and, using a Visa or Mastercard, purchase a PIN (activated immediately).  You may also purchase a PIN (activated the following business day) from any branch of Banco Continental.  In addition, prior to your appointment, you must pay an application fee.  All applicants worldwide must pay a US$131.00 application processing fee, payable in local currency (Nuevos Soles) at Banco Continental before applying. The current cost is S/.395.00. For some visa classes and nationalities, additional issuance fees may apply.

Your Personal Identification Number (PIN), which will allow you to schedule up to 5 immediate family members living at the same address. The PIN will allow 8 minutes of access to the service, reachable at 705-3007 from anywhere in Peru, using a touch-tone telephone.
