Please Note: The Hague Convention for International Adoptions has been in effect between the United States and Peru since April 1, 2008. All new international adoption petitions filed after April 1, 2008 must comply with Hague requirements and all services provided by an adoption service provider must be done by an adoption service provider that has been accredited to handle Hague Adoptions. In addition, the Peruvian government has its own list of approved adoption service providers and will only work with agencies from its own list.
