Receiving Federal Benefit Checks

The Consular Section in Lima does not distribute benefit checks directly to recipients. Almost all federal benefit recipients in Peru receive their checks by direct deposit.

Registration for Federal Benefit Checks

Persons eligible to receive benefit checks may go to the ACS Section during public hours, 8:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., Monday through Friday, except for U.S. and Peruvian holidays.

If you are not receiving your Federal Benefits checks, please contact the ACS Section from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, except for U.S. and Peruvian holidays. We will research your case and contact the appropriate agency.

Non-U.S. citizens may act as the agent of a minor American citizen provided that they are designated as the agent at the time benefits are requested.
