Roberta Jacobson's Visit to Peru 2012

Acting Assistant Secretary of State for Western Hemisphere Affairs Roberta Jacobson is on a two-day visit to Peru meeting with government officials to foster continued close bilateral cooperation and to promote President Obama’s “100,000 Strong in the Americas” goal to increase international study between the United States and Latin America.  The trip is part of a regional visit that will also take the Acting Assistant Secretary to Argentina.

While in Peru, Acting Assistant Secretary Jacobson is expected to meet with President Ollanta Humala and First Lady Nadine Heredia, Prime Minister Valdes, Foreign Minister Roncagliolo, Minister of Education Salas, Minister of Development and Social Inclusion Trivelli, and Executive Director of DEVIDA Masias. The Acting Assistant Secretary will also engage with business and media representatives.
