U.S. LUTHIER DANIEL PRIER IS TEACHING A STRING INSTRUMENT REPAIR COURSE IN LIMA AND TRUJILLO
The lessons are sponsored by the U.S. Embassy in coordination with the Catholic University Music School and the Orquesta de Barro-Arpegio NGO in Trujillo. Program dates are October 5-16 in Lima and October 19-30 in Trujillo.
ON SEPTEMBER 24-26, AROUND 70 TEACHERS TOOK PART IN A TRAINING CONFERENCE IN LIMA
The instruction was sponsored by the U.S. Embassy, Fulbright, and the Min Ed. Training was from Higinio Ordonez from Mexico; ELF Sandra Anderson; RELO Kay Davis, and Desiree Flores. This cooperative effort to train public school English teachers in Peru marks a new era with the Min Ed.
PISAC COMMUNITY MUSEUM OPENING
This 23rd of September was the Pisac Community Museum opening, a joint effort of the Municipality of the District of Pisac and the Community Museum Association with the Interamerican Foundation (IAF) financing and the support of the National Museum of the American Indian of the United States and the Mexico’s Community Museums Union.

USAID/Peru and the Peruvian Ministry of the Interior signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) under the MCC Threshold Program to join efforts in the fight against corruption.
HIP HOP SINGER GEORGE "RITHM" MARTINEZ WORKED WITH PERUVIAN YOUTH FOR THEIR EMPOWERMENT
George Martinez, political pioneer of the U.S. hip hop community, was in Lima hosted by the U.S. Embassy from August 19 to the 26th. Martinez worked with youth from Villa El Salvador, El Agustino, and Carmen de la Legua, in Lima for youth empowerment.
